Video Hook Generator

Generate short video hooks for demos, launches, and feature clips.

Find an Opening Worth Watching

Video Hook Generator helps you choose the first idea for a short promotional video, then develop it into a script. It's useful when you know what your app does but aren't sure how to make someone care in the first few seconds.

The hook should give the viewer a reason to keep watching. You might show a frustrating problem, an unexpected result, or a quick demonstration of something useful.

Generate and Choose a Hook

Use Generate Suggestions to get ideas based on the description in Basic Information. Pick a hook that makes one clear point, then open it to generate a script.

If the ideas feel a bit vague, sharpen up the app description before generating more. Specific information about the audience and their problem makes a much better starting point.

Shape the Script

The script includes a suggested music style and a sequence of clips. Each clip has narration and a stock-footage suggestion that you can edit. Add, remove, or reorder clips until the story hangs together.

The music suggestion is a note about the kind of soundtrack you might choose. It doesn't mean a music track has been added to your video.

Read the narration aloud. If it sounds like a feature list, narrow the idea down. A short video showing one useful workflow can explain more than six disconnected claims.

Use the call-to-action options to finish with a title, subtitle, app icon, and badge. You can also choose whether the ending is narrated.

Save It or Make a Draft Video

Save the script to Saved Video Scripts, or copy the text if you'll use it elsewhere.

When you're ready, choose a voice and use Create Draft Video. The local narration models need to be downloaded first. Kickstart then puts together a starting point you can open in the Video Editor.

Look through that draft, swap out footage where needed, add your app's real screens, and adjust timing before exporting. Generating a draft gives you material to work with; it doesn't publish a finished promotion.
