App Analytics
Inspect App Store funnel, engagement, territory, source, and crash reports.
Follow People Beyond the Store Page
App Analytics shows how people discover, download, and use your app. It helps you connect the start of the journey, such as a store impression, with later activity such as an installation or a session.
It's really useful when revenue alone doesn't explain what's going on. More downloads might be coming from a new market, or a release might be attracting attention without bringing people back.
Get Reports Ready
Link the project to App Store Connect and configure your credentials. On first use, Apple's analytics reports may need to be enabled and prepared before Kickstart has anything to show.
Use Check Now to look for prepared reports, or Refresh to update available data. If reporting has stopped after inactivity, Re-enable Analytics starts it again.
Read the notices about availability and gaps. A report that hasn't arrived yet isn't a measurement of zero.
Start With the Funnel
Choose a date range, then look over the summary and funnel. Depending on the reports available, you'll see impressions, page activity, downloads, installations, sessions, conversion, and crashes.
Each stage answers a different question. Low visibility suggests a discovery problem; people arriving without downloading suggests the product page or offer needs some work.
Those are starting points for investigation. A change in traffic source can affect conversion even when you haven't touched the listing.
Look Under the Totals
Use the charts and breakdowns to explore installations and deletions, downloads and updates, usage, territories, sources, and devices.
If one total moves, check whether a particular territory or source explains most of it. That helps you choose a relevant action instead of reworking the whole product because of one market.
Available crash reports include version-level information, which can come in handy after a release.
Choose a Follow-Up
Compare the same dates in Revenue Details, and keep release or campaign notes in Journal. If you can see the weak stage but don't know what to try, Move One Number gives you more focused starting points.
