Journal
FreeKeep a light record of what changed, what shipped, and what you learned.
What It Is
Journal is the record of decisions you made while building and launching your app. Some entries come from task responses. Others can be added by hand.
What Belongs Here
- Positioning decisions you don't want to revisit later.
- Notes from launch prep, pricing, marketing, screenshots, or App Store work.
- Release decisions and experiment notes.
- Raw thoughts that can later become build-in-public posts, press material, or release notes.
Workflow
- Click New Entry for a freeform note.
- Set the entry date when you are recording something that happened earlier.
- Edit entries when your thinking gets sharper.
- Search title and body text to recover old decisions quickly.
- Delete stale notes when they no longer describe the project.
Practical Tips
- Write the reason for a change, not just the change.
- Keep notes short enough that you will actually write them.
- Task-linked entries keep their task title. Freeform entries let you edit both title and body.
