Compare Competitors in Search Results

Search Rankings shows observed positions for your competitors across relevant App Store searches. It helps you spot where an app has a strong presence and where several competitors overlap.

This is different from your own Keyword Tracker, which follows the terms you've specifically picked to watch over time. Use this screen to discover interesting searches, then track the ones that really matter to your app.

Check the Market First

The country comes from your competitor research, and the platform control lets you focus on the supported App Store search platform you want to compare.

Keep those choices consistent. A strong iPhone ranking in one country doesn't tell you how the same app does on Mac or in another market.

The results depend on available ranking research. If data is still loading or unavailable, read the status message before treating a blank as a bad ranking.

Explore the Table

Look for phrases where several competitors rank, or focus on one app to see its strongest observed results. Where your own app appears, its position gives you another useful reference point.

Refresh rankings when you want updated observations. Search positions are snapshots and can move around, so don't treat one result as a permanent place in the market.

For example, you might find that a general-purpose planner ranks well for several study-related phrases. That gives you a good excuse to find out whether students are an audience your app could serve too.

Keep the Useful Searches

Select relevant phrases and add them to Keyword Tracker, or explore related keywords to widen your research.

Before changing your listing, read the search phrase as a customer's request. If the results suggest a different kind of product from yours, ranking for that phrase may not help.

Use the comparison to pick a few ideas worth following, then watch them alongside downloads and other results rather than obsessively checking positions every few minutes.
