Find Better Words for Your Listing
Keyword Explorer helps you research alternatives to the keywords in your Store Listing and build a draft before changing anything there. It keeps the current set in view, so you can compare an idea with the words you'd need to drop to make room.
Use it when your existing keywords are vague, you're shipping a new feature, or you've found a useful phrase in competitor research.
Build a Draft
Choose the version and language you want to work on. Kickstart starts from the listing's keywords and finds related words and phrases for you to dig into.
With server-backed keyword data, popularity scores help you compare search interest. You can also see the combined popularity shown for the draft, but don't treat that total as a forecast of downloads. Relevance matters more than chasing the biggest numbers.
Add promising words to the draft and cut weaker ones. Keep an eye on the character count as you work. A longer phrase needs to earn the space it uses.
For example, if your app is specifically for trail runners, a relevant running phrase may be a better pick than a broad fitness term with more searches.
Keep Research and Tracking Together
Control-click a keyword to add it to Keyword Tracker. Tracking lets you follow what happens over time instead of relying on a single research session.
The data mode you chose for Keywords also applies here. Local-only mode can show alternative words without popularity scores. You can change the mode in Settings > General > Keyword Data.
Use the Finished Draft
Use the toolbar menu to copy the keywords, or choose Use in Store Listing to bring them into the listing editor. Researching and editing the draft here doesn't touch your public App Store listing.
Look over the resulting field in Store Listing, then save to App Store Connect when you're ready. This gives you a chance to double-check the exact version and language before sending anything to Apple.
