Glossary Impressions

What are impressions in App Store analytics?

An impression is counted every time your app's icon is shown to someone on the App Store – in search results, top charts, category pages, or editorial featuring. Unique impressions count each person once per day.

Impressions are the very top of your store funnel: they measure visibility before anyone decides anything. Rising impressions with flat downloads means you're being seen and skipped, which is usually a screenshot, title, or ratings problem rather than a discovery problem.

Kickstart brings impressions, product page views, and downloads into one App Store funnel, with territory, source, and device breakdowns that reveal where visibility is changing.
