Glossary Conversion rate (App Store)

What is App Store conversion rate?

App Store conversion rate measures how often being seen becomes being downloaded – typically first-time downloads divided by unique impressions, though some teams measure from product page views instead.

Conversion is where ASO's two halves come together: keywords decide who arrives, and conversion assets decide what happens next. A conversion problem and a traffic problem need completely different fixes, which is why the funnel matters more than any single number – and why comparing your rate against other categories' averages mostly misleads.

Kickstart calculates conversion from live App Analytics data and puts it beside the metadata, screenshots, territories, and sources that can explain a change.
