Glossary Keyword field

What is the App Store keyword field?

The keyword field is a hidden metadata field in App Store Connect: 100 characters of comma-separated terms, per localization, that Apple uses for search alongside your app's name and subtitle. Users never see these keywords; they are just for the search algorithm.

Because the space we have is tiny, waste is your main enemy: spaces after commas, words already in your title, plurals duplicating singular words, and stop words all burn characters that could target real searches. Go and look at yours now, because nearly everyone finds something to reclaim. (And remember that every localization gets its own 100 characters, which makes localized keyword fields one of the cheapest ASO wins available!)

Your competitors' keyword fields are secret, but Kickstart can uncover the terms they target by analyzing their titles, subtitles, screenshots, and live search rankings, then show you the useful gaps in your own listing.
